Long lost blog

So, I hadn't realized that it had been so long since I had posted. I guess that's what happens when you don't have a computer at home. Things are going well, just enjoying this beautiful hot weather. Went to the 311 show on Monday and it was AWESOME!!! They played alot of their old stuff and we danced like nobody's business. I am starting to feel my age a little thought, instead of being sore for just one day, I'm going on day three of soreness :) Oh well, all in the name of having fun. I'm already getting excited for school to start next semester (I know, what a nerd right?) I'm taking physiology & the next spanish class. But what is so exciting is that this will be the last semester before I apply to nursing school in January. Yeah!!! After working towards this goal for the last two and half years, I can't believe I'm getting that much closer to being in nursing school.

Save Gas, Drive a Scooter!

So, for those of you who don't know, my sweetie Marc got me a scooter for Christmas. Of course we had to have the longest winter EVER before I could really start driving around, but now that spring, oops, I mean summer is finally here I have been driving like nobody's business. Let me tell you, it rocks!!! Scooters are so much fun. Here is the best part I get like 50-60 miles per tank (which is just over a gallon). How sweet is that?!? I still need to get some pictues posted up of me on my sweet ride. Then everyone will be uber-jealous. I also would like to start a scooter club. I have a couple of friends that ride and I think it would rock if we all went riding together, you know like those harley bikers that ride two-deep. Except we wouldn't be wearing leather and we're alot cuter.

Technology is a beautiful thing

So yesterday I got a message from my dad saying "join my facebook group". Now there are a few reasons that this is so exciting for me. First off, how fun that my Dad has a facebook page! I love that he is starting to embrace this whole "internet" thing. Just kidding, he is awesome with emailing people but cummon, facebook?? :) Secondly, as I'm joining his page I realize that my older brother has his own website (complete with awesome dancing pictures) and my younger brother even has an email address much less a facebook page. I'm just learning so much about my family, unreal.
Anyhoo, today is a great day in the SLC. It's hot, sunny and perfect scooter riding weather. I guess I'll have to get on the BALL and post pics on all my spots. K, more later.

I got A's!!!

Woo-Hooo! Received an A in bio-organic & and A in Spanish. I'm off for summer vacation! Scooter rides, camping, Gallivan concerts....oh yeah and some work in there.

FINALS!!!!

So, here is why I havn't posted in over a week, FINALS!!! I have been studying like crazy because you know I need to get A's in everything I do and it's looking pretty good. Finished up with Espanol ayer y espero a recibir un grado perfecto. Hehehe. Bio-organic chem is next week so please, please everyone send me your good study/test vibes.

Happy Birthday to Me!

Woo-Hoo!!! Made it another year. So far, this year's Emi-palooza has been awesome. For those of you who don't know what the Emi-palooza is, ask me about it, it totally rocks. Some people think I'm a little funny for making such a big deal out of my special day, but I think it is one of the things that keeps me so young at heart. I'm truly grateful for every day I have on this earth. When I can mark another positive milestone like a WHOLE YEAR, then it means that life does go on, the bad times do pass and that I have so much to look forward to.

So I went on a short day of visiting today to some of my friends at the hospital. Now although I work at the hospital, sometimes I like to go up there and visit when I'm not working so maybe my friends will know that I really do care about them and that I'm thinking and wishing the best for them. I just wish I could give every one of them a big hug and somehow make what they are going through just a little bit easier. Sending you all hugs out through the stratosphere.

So, this is definitely the BEST year for me seeing 311. We saw them in Feb. here at the Depot. (Rockin' show) then we did the big pilgramage trip to New Orleans for 311 Day. What else could I say about that other than it was INCREDIBLE!!! AND because the boys love us in the SLC sooo much, I just got Pit tickets for the show coming up on June 30th (like 5 minutes ago, hehehe). Now there are some that say I have an "unhealthy obsession" with this band. All I have to say to that is "Be positive and love your life." "Stress is the enemy" and "311 is Salt Lake!!!" (Ok the last quote Nick just says when they play here) It's all about a love for kick-ass music. Anyhooo, that's about all for today. Ciao!

Because I want to belong

So, this will be my first foray into the world of blogging. I'm not exactly sure if my life is exciting enough for a blog. But I like the fact that I can just write about, whatever. That's kinda cool. Also, all my real cool friends have blogs and they should have something funny/random to read as well.
So, this is what's coming up in the world of Starshines: next month, Marc's brother's wedding in Alabama (definite family drama there); getting married this summer; applying for nursing school in January. Oh the comedy that will ensue.
